The FSD36 Combination Fire/Smoke Damper is both UL555 and UL555S Classified and rated as a 1-1/2 hour fire damper and a Leakage Class II Smoke damper. It features:
- Maximum velocity of 2,000 fpm.
- Maximum 4″ static pressure.
- UL tested for dual directional airflow.
- Failsafe design, which enables the damper to automatically assume the desired position when fire or smoke (if the smoke detector is present) interrupts operational power.
- The EFL or PFL heat-actuated release devices permit controlled closure through the actuator and are automatically remote resettable after test, smoke detection, or power failure conditions.
- Galvanized steel construction.

APPLICATION
Ruskin FSD36 Series low leakage combination fire and smoke dampers provide point-of-origin fire and smoke containment. The FSD36 includes high strength single skin blades to ensure the lowest resistance to airflow and leakage up to 2000 fpm (10.2 m/s) and 4 in. wg (1 kPa). The FSD36LP low leakage, low profile, and low-pressure drop combination fire and smoke damper is provided with an integral sleeve/frame design. The FSD36LP has the lowest pressure drop of less than .03 at 1000 FPM (5.1 m/s) of any fire smoke damper.
All FSD36 series dampers may be installed vertically in walls or horizontally in masonry floors and are rated for airflow and leakage in either direction.
